Well as the title states im a new guy from Oklahoma city. I do not have a metro at the moment but am looking at a 98 lsi. I have always been a fan of cars that don't have a huge following but I have owned almost everything from Alfa Romeos to Volkswagens and in between. I am not a master mechanic but I can handle a set of wrenches. I am a certified paint and body tech but now only do it as a hobby. Actually working on getting into the medical field. I have one more test before i have my CNA license. Shooting for RN specializing in pediatric care because of my love for children. I am 23 and have a 4yr old and 1yr old daughter. Hope to start on a one of a kind metro at some point and time.

thank you both for the warm welcome. i have read the buyers guide religously. the 98 that i found is a 3/5 lsi with about 160k on it. runs pretty good just needs a little love. the guy wants $300 for it. tags are also 2yrs out of date. gonna cost a pretty penny to bring them back up to date.

Welcome to your new forum, ridin_low07! :coffee

That is not a bad deal and you know what to look for so keep us informed, please.

I hope you don't mean they will charge you for both years of tags out of day. That is sad that they use that as a means of extra taxation. :rasp

But even a '98 should save you some gas money if the engine compression is OK and it doesn't need a rebuild immediately. :-/

Welcome. Even if you had to dump $1000.00 into that car, it would still pay you back in no time.

Once again I appreciate the welcome folks. Dayle I wish I could afford to buy some of that fellows stuff. Kinda on the broke side right now but hoping to eventually get out of that funk. I am hoping to go look at the car again tomorrow and I will try to take some pics of it to post up here. Maybe just maybe I will be able to work this deal out. The guy who has it is still kind of reluctant on selling so I am still working out the kinks on it. I have an 03 Chevy so I am just looking to get a little more economical and still have something to play with if I deem necessary. Eh who am I kidding? Really I just want to see how far I can push the limits on a geo. Haven't seem an LS1 geo yet or a Geo with a Turbo'd Supra motor. So who knows what direction it will take me. Hopefully it will be something that will last me quite sometime. May leave it economical for a long time and build up my truck. Who knows what the future holds.
