Gang,

Aaron here from Yreka, CA.

I am getting (hopefully) a 1993 Geo Metro 2dr hatch. It has a paltry 238,000 miles, recent tune up, recent tires/realignment, new distributor, everything works. Pending smog certificate I will be getting it this next week I hope and have been lurking at this site for a few days.

Very passionate about your cars.

I live in a rural area and the 45-50mpg compared to my Yukon at 16-17mpg is going to help me in my 35 mile one way trip to work!

Paying $800.00 bucks for it and feel that is a good deal. It's super clean and well taken care of. Reason for selling is the lady got a new car and dumping this one.

It will be in good hands.

Nice forum, hope to learn a lot from you guys and hope to contribute someday!

Aaron - Nappers :cheers

Sorry, it's a 5 speed. She says clutch feels good, once in a while you have to double clutch 2nd, like my old 64 granny 4sp.....

Welcome to your new forum, Nappers! :coffee

Even if it doesn't pass smog I'd go ahead and get it because it may be something easily fixed. :hmm These cars are very easy to work on. Your main expense is going to be a catalytic converter if it needs one but my 1991's off the shelf two wire O2 sensor was only $16. :)

Stickers are going and cleaning/painting wheels and give it a good buff job even though clear is shot on some. I like to detail cars on the side. A detail forum on the site would be cool. I belong to Meguiar's Online and Autogeek.

I'll keep everyone posted how it goes.
