You need a new crank pulley and then the car will start.

1996-2000 lower crank gear.

The '96 distributor has a "double" tit on one of the sensor thingys, for lack of a better description. There are little raised areas on the shaft that are seen by the sensor. One of those raised areas is a double. Look and see.

Make sure the distributor is turning, remove cap and have someone watch the rotor.

I mentioned this incase the camshaft is broken.

I looked at my service manual this morning. The CMP or Camshaft Position Sensor is also the Crank Angle Sensor

Make sure you have a 96 distributor in the engine.

If you are not sure which distributor you have installed, look for a label on the side of the distributor for numbers, maybe we can determine the year by the serial number.

and/or remove the rotors from both distributors and take pictures of the inside of the distributors and upload to the forum.

Did you fix the rear oxygen sensor?

Click on https://docs.google.com/file/d/0ByE-eQuO2HRpZDBiZjE2NjItOGJjNC00MjQ5LThkZjYtODIyYWM5YjFiYjJk/edit?pli=1 and go to page 11. See if that helps. :-/ Diagnostics on page 5 are for the GT model.

I got it from http://sites.google.com/site/suzukiswiftinfo/
