Looking to replace Metro for my wife, which I sold; Introduction

Okay, Okay. I sold my wife's white 1992 metro convertible in 2006 as we were getting ready to move from CA to TX. I thought three cars were too many and didn't want to pay the cost to ship it. Stupid mistake as I basically gave it away. Fast forward 6 years, and she still misses that car.

We've joined to try and find one to fill the void. We live 2 blocks from the beach so the metro convertible is perfect for the beach. Again...I'm still apologizing to my wife for my stupidity. If there are any used metros for sale, we'll be interested for sure. It has to be automatic and have AC...but otherwise, we're open to color, condition and miles.

We're glad to have found this site!

There's a guy that I know that might just have one.

I asked. He said yes.

Prior to delivery he promises to get it "dialed in", including a new CARB compliant catalytic converter, and new tires.

The price is comparable to the quality. You will hate youself even more for selling the one that you had.

I have seen this car. It is nice. New top. Window seals that do not leak. Doors close like brand new. No engine oil leaks.

Good luck on your quest - make sure you give her the final say on which one you choose. It won't soften the financial blow any but it may score a couple of brownie points and it sounds like you could use them.

Welcome here, good luck with the car hunt :)
The only one I know of for sale currently on the boards is this one -> http://geometroforum.com/topic/4764290/1/

His asking price is a little high, but the car looks extremely clean and fits what your looking for, as well as having very low miles and comes with a carfax report ( http://www.carfax.com/cfm/FSBO.cfm?report=72CB0D0C8CF80CBE56A084000A9416AA ) His contact information is available in the thread in the first post.
