Hey do you guys know where I can find bronze manganese guides for my head?Three tech said they were out for a week or so, is there anybody else that sells them? And I was thinking about just replacing the exhaust valves with stainless steel valves, and using 3 bronze manganese guides for the exhaust side, SHould I use all 6 for exhaust and intake? Would it be alright If Ijust used the same intake valves? or should I do stainless for the exhaust and intake, I alreayd purchased 6 viton valve stem seals. Im thinking that it would not matter if I used the same intake valves, because I dont think stainless for the intake side is going to make a difference? thanks, help is greatly appreciated.

I'm not familiar with another supplier of valve guides but likely someone else is. When I did my head the guides appeared to be fine so I left them alone, I did replace the exhaust valves with stainless ones, reused the stock intake valves and hand lapped both intake and exhaust valves. So far (40k miles) they are performing flawlessly.

Intake valves usually are reusable. The intake valve guides very rarely need to be replaced.

It's well worth the wait for 3tech to get you the manganese bronze valve guides for your stainless steel exhaust valves.
