if its a complete engine, just use all your old Bolt ons, aka distributor, complete intake/tbi, belts, gears pulleys. and valve cover. Oh and not that you absolutly need to but you could make a small rubber grommet to fit into the hole where the cranksensor would be, since you wont need the crank sensor.

The 96 throttle body and distributor are not compatible with your 91 ECM. The controls on the throttle body are completely different as is the advance mechanism on the distributor.

I took a quarter and JB Welded it into the crank hole. Been good the past two years, no leaks. Haven't been arrested yet.

I have both and the '91 does not have an EGR so the '96 intake manifold would work but the EGR would have to be plugged unless you want the EGR on the '91.

The distributors (click thumbnails for full size pic); 1991 and 1996...

For one you will not have a connection for the 1996 distributor advance.

Vacuum hose routing 1991 and 1996...

IIRC, the TPS connections on the Throttle Bodies are different. :dunno

The Intake Manifold, Distributor, and Thermostat housing should stay with the car, that covers all the engine sensors and electronics. You don't need to change all that stuff on the front end, the newer stuff is better anyway. Just leave the crankshaft sensor unplugged, it will happily report into thin air and keep the oil hole plugged.
