When you install the tensioner, does the spring tnsion up the belt over time as you drive, or when you put the belt on and tighten the tensioner bolt, is the tensioner after the bolt is tight is it supposte to be able to move back and forth? I think you put the belt on an then you then you make sure the tensioner is snug against the belt and tighten? im just wondering if the tensioner is suppose to be able to move once it is tighten? Thanks |

It does not move. Allow the tensioner spring to tighten it. Turn the engine over with a socket on the crankshaft bolt a couple of full turns then tighten the locking bolt on the tensioner and lock it. It does not need to be tight like a v-belt. |

Make sure the ear on the bracket is engaged in the hole on the backside of the pulley/bearing before you tighten the bolt |
