Hello! I'm from the twin cities, and have a '97 LSI hatchback 4/3. 75k miles. Drives great, but is rusting away with each winter (this years' wasn't too bad however!). Anyone from Minnesota that works on these cars, let me know! Most shops around here are reluctant to do much with Geo's nowadays.

Yep, I've read many interesting posts so far, pretty helpful! I can do most of the simple routine maintenance, however, living in an apartment limits much else. It was here that I learned about frame horn rust, which I found out I have in spades.

I am the one on the left.

ah, sad news.
I am about to harvest some frame horns off my car that was totalled.
See if you can find a welder that will either fix yours, or weld in new ones for you. Scoobs sometimes has sets of the frame horns for sale.
Good luck on keeping the car on the road.

I hope to find one eventually, most places I checked so far won't take the job. However, for the time being, the car is more than drivable, and enjoyable to boot. Just have to take it easier on rough roads.

Sharing the Minnesota nice!

I just bought the Turbine Tech frame, which I hope will add structure for now until I can get the frame welded. Now the wait for the mail.
