Was looking for a fuel saving car to use for my daily commute of 50 miles, when I stumbled on this 92 vert. It was from Va. one previous owner, with
44 thousand miles on it,that is not a misprint. Been driving it for about 2 weeks now and it has double the mileage per gallon as the previous ride, the only downside is the wind noise around the top.I think the weather strips are dried out from age,any ideas on how to make it quieter? Thanks in advance, Bill

I found with my vert that slowing down to about 3 or 4 mph really helps with the wind noise. :( Short of driving a little slower, wearing earplugs (seriously) helps a lot. The rubber seals are just not available unless you happen upon a secret stash that no one has found so it is a difficult thing to cure.

This summer I may try some aero mods on the vert to try and deflect or redirect some of the air to help the noise and the mileage.

Welcome to the forum. :cheers

Thanks for the welcomes, from having convertibles from 1969 starting with a 65 Corvair and most recently with a Miata this is the worst wind noise I have ever experienced, didn't know it was normal. I tried the earplugs and it makes it tolerable. Now to install cruise control, and better seats and the little car will be just fine. Thanks, Bill :thumb
