doin a g10 rebuild puttin in new pistons just wonderin the arrow points twards the timing belt the one on the piston face and also wonderin any way to get the wrist pins out or does a shop gotta press em out |

Yes the piston arrow points to the timing belt side and my machine shop has to use heat and a press to change the pistons on the rods. He said that they press out real hard. Ken.... |

Arrows towards timing belt end. Piston pins here. Pressing the old ones off is not bad, it could be done with a vise and a custom jig although a press would be easier. I dont recommend pressing the new ones like you press the old ones off though. Use the method above to install your new ones. A small press is handy to have around. Maybe a trip to harbor freight is in your future. |

I like the video but he failed to mention that the rod has to go on the piston with the arrows on the piston and bottom of the rods both going in the same direction. Ken.... |
