Do you have to bleed a new oil pump? Im afraid to run my engine until I figure out why the oil light is on?

Someone told me that there is a brass fitting on top of the head that the machine shop might have taken out? I did Is there something on top of my head I should have looked for? Thanks.

Oil check valve won't cause low oil pressure. It'll cause oil into the air intake and huge clouds of smoke behind you occasionally.

Not having the check valve installed would not be the cause of your particular problem.

It really needs to be installed. If it's not, you'll have head oiling problems.

remove your coil wire so it will not start. hit the starter for 15 seconds. if the oil light has not gone out by then wait a while and do it all over again. once the oil light goes out reinstall the coil wire and start the car.
