Turbo3 and Twincam Tweaker

there's a plug in the oil passage at the front of the block just above the oil pump where the turbo3 version of the g10 connects the turbo oil feed line. there's another plug next to the stock oil pressure switch.

the standard convention for adding a pressure sensor for an electrical oil pressure gauge is to use a hose from the port where the switch is, bring that hose away from the engine to a tee, and install the pressure switch and the gauge's pressure transducer in the tee. mount the tee or the oil pressure transducer canister to the chassis. that gets rid of any engine vibration that can damage the transducer or break the fittings. the oil pressure sensors generally have a pretty big canister and their mass can fairly easily snap the 1/8 npt fitting they use.

for my hot rods, i use the ports on my remote oil filter for the oil pressure and oil temperature transducers. the remote oil filter is buried at the bottom on the engine bay on the left side in this pic of the blue monster (taken from the top, the oil filter is actually very accessible from the bottom.) you can see the chromed oil pressure transducer at the very top of the pic about a third of the width from the upper left corner.

Got 70 MPG?

I have mine on my oil filter sandwich plate, which is the poor man's alternative to T3's option ;)

Thanks t3 and starscream.. I appreciate the imput. I run mechanical oil pressure guages. It does seem easier to run the remote filter in the long run..
