OP should call the machine shop and not use any grease.. They left out the front plug on my block when I picked it up(same shop) I showed the counter guy n then took the block over to the machine shop.. where they promptly installed.. including a plug in the sending unit hole.. I digress.. ;) +1 for Geo Glen's offer...

I was thinking you 2 were co-conspirators in an evil plot of some sort.

I learned a long time ago, unless it's Divco in Tulsa (aircraft crankcase shop), remove your galley plugs. The machine shop will loose them. They will not be able to find them. It will P!$$ you off.

Divco always put a little plastic bag with new galley plugs right in the box.

Make sure you plan ahead when it comes to a machine shop; I hear they can get busy at times.

I hear you.. Geo Glen... I'm happy I wasn't 90 miles South in Lacrosse.. :) In the future.. YES.. Remove Oil GALLERY Plugs... ;)
