Welcome to your new forum, Krusty! :coffee

On Mr. Murf's suggestion I removed your number. Good luck on finding the transmission of your dreams. You might want to post an ad in the 'wanted' section of the forum. :-/

If any member has a tranny for Krusty they can PM Krusty Krusty or me for Krusty's number.

Try ANA trade Corp there in Baltimore MD 410-342-4404 I bought a JDM auto from them with less than 50k miles on it for $250.00 its been in there for a year and now with no issues. Im sure they can ship it to you for less than it would cost to have it rebuilt. Now for the screaming issue i would upgrade to a taller tire. Ditch the 12s and go with 185-60-14s with nice alloys.

UPS or greyhound. It is within either of their weight limits and you may find it surprisingly reasonable.

Welcome here :)

Your 1.3 already has as you say, the tallest gearing available. If it has no issues, the cheapest solution would be to increase the tire diameter to lower your rpms. A 1-2" increase in diameter of the tire would lower your rpms, but of course will also throw off your speedometer / odometer quite a bit so keep that in mind.

Other mods you might look at are lowering it a little, an air dam, grille block, and possibly an "econo" cam.

3Tech makes cams for 1.3l/1.6 G13/G16 8V SOHC 4cyl (up to 1994), 1.3/1.6 G13/G16 16V SOHC 4cyl and 1.3 G13B DOHC 4cyl.

The autos scream at highway speeds :( its sad but true . I have put 250k miles on my auto since 2001. ALOT of them at speeds of 70+ with no real issues.
