New member here, looking for a good manual trans Metro in Iowa. Doesn't have to be pretty, just dependable. :) Glad to meet you all, I am looking forward to many hours of learning about this car.

Good bye

Welcome to the forum, wishing you good luck finding a car. My son-in law in Kansas had one shipped from Oregon a few years back.

Welcome to the forum. We had a member buy one in N. Cal, and towed it to SLC to start her kick ass build on it. So they are out there. Keep turning over rocks.

Welcome Aboard! Great to see another from Iowa.

Best advice is to keep looking on Craigslist, and don't just look in Ames. I found mine over in Lincoln. They do pop up pretty regularly.

A couple of things to look over:
Geo Metro Buyers' Guide
I didn't read this until after I'd made my purchase. Good thing is, I got lucky, and mine didn't have any of the major issues.

We're getting together in Minnesota this summer

Living in the rust belt makes it hard to find a good metro.
I agree with Mr. Murf's suggestion of going out of state to get one.
Good luck...and keep us posted :news
