Sorry, title is incorrect . Check engine light always on . PO134 and PO171 . I didn't find any bad connections, but then again when it comes to electrical diagnosing , I just don't wanna do it . Of course, I do or wouldn't have written that . I know I can do, I'm just using faulty logic to do so . I've read and watch everything y'all have posted but to no avail . Basically, I'm just looking for a short in the O2 circuit. O2 sensor is new and I have tested continuity between my solder-job and the plug-in and THAT is good . But testing the rest of the circuit looks like WTF . Am I testing for voltage or continuity ? Any help appreciated . |

Grounds I know of: Back of intake manifold Distributor body to firewall Battery to transmission Headlight to fender (one per side) Under dash drivers side on A pillar Likely there are others. I would start by cleaning the ones in the engine compartment since they are more exposed and more likely to have issues. Good Luck! |

Light still on . I scratched-up both on intake manifold, distrib. to firewall including connector, battery to trans. and battery to front piece ( whatever it's called ) and both headlights to fenders . I'll get the one under the dash tomorrow . Anyone know of any others ? |

Might take some driving for the light to go out, unless you disconnect the power to the PCM. Those two grounds on the inner fenders are for the turn signals and corner lamps, no connection to the headlights at all. That has no bearing on your problem, but I thought I'd mention it since there are so many headlight problems and so little understanding of the weird way Metro headlights are wired. |
