I've been hanging out at another forum for a wile, wile I owned a beat up but reliable 99 Swift, but noticed a lot of peoples questions were being refered to answers on this site. huummmmm I said to myself…. So here I am. ^o)
I just sold the Swift yesterday, as I replaced it with a super clean 98 Metro 3x5 hatchback with A/C. Nice Metros are getting very hard to capture in this area due to gas prices. if you don't sit on Craigslist for several months, you're not likely to be the buyer of a really good one. this 98 needed a rear wheel bearing, a frnt ball joint, and a water pump (just a very slight leak), but otherwise is as nice as I've seen locally in 3 months of looking. the frnt A arm bolts came out by hand, once broken loose, so it had to have been garaged most of it's life.
anywho. looking forward to learning some, and sharing some, info. looks like a really good bunch of folks here.

Cheers,
Russ

I'm in Grants Pass. Purchased the Metro from a guy over in Sams Valley.

Where do you catch them there "big Bass in your face" BTW ;) ;)

Thanks for the welcome guys,
Russ

BTW: anyone else here into street rods/hot rods besides me? wha-da ya got? I drive the Metro so I can afford to gas up the V-8s :drivin

Welcome to the forum. We have several members in the great Rogue valley area. And there is going to be a get together up North next month I think. Let me see if I can find the thread. I am over on the coast.

Thanks for the heads up Mr Murph 59. That sounds like fun, but it looks like the wife and I will be headed South, as everyone else is headed North. We have reservations to visit "the rock" (Alcatraz) at about that time, on a trip down the Oregon/Calif coast. We hope to see the Northbound lanes filled with Metros, and will surely wave to ya'all however. ;)

Welcome to the site! I think Metros are getting hard to find everywhere, except for a few guys that seem to bring home another metro every month or so...

Oh… you can find Metros here also. it's the well cared for Metros that are getting hard to find. I've contracted that common disease of colectitis in the past, but have been clean for six years now. I don't want to catch it again ;)

Had these 6 "drivers" plus 6 parts cars (all Fieros) in the back yard at one time a few years ago. Now down to 2 drivers (both V-8 swapped cars) with one of them for sale. OK, OK. plus a model A and a bucket T…… I guess I'm not cured, just recovering ;)

Welcome to GMF, from No. California, Yreka, grew up in Glendale and visit White City all the time. I just bought some aluminum for my Metro for a radio install and cup holder.

Glad to see more of us over here with our rust free bodies eh? :rocker

A real nice drive when you get S. of Eureka is the Ave of the Giants. Very few of the old growth Red Woods left. ^o) :thumb
