Suzuki Esteem center console

I was at the local scrap yard today and I saw a Suzuki Esteem Wagon. It had a pretty decent center console and I was wondering if it would fit in the Metro since the seats are a direct bolt in fit. Has anyone ever done this? I know I have seen the Neon center console before, but this 'looks' like it will fit much better.

The seats also looked like they were in good shape and I was thinking about grabbing them 'just because' but I already have a set of esteem seats but then again, 20 bucks a seat is hard to pass up :hmm :hmm :hmm

I checked out the latest center console from the Esteem I pulled seats from and thought the same, but isn't the ebrake off centered? I can't remember now. Or it doesn't have an arm rest? I remember thinking it wouldn't be as useful as the Neon console, but I can't remember why now.

It does have an arm rest, but the e-brake is off centered:

mjspiess,

Is that a picture of an esteem console in an esteem? Or is that a picture of an estem console in a metro. Because if that is in a metro, it looks pretty darn good!

That is an Esteem console in an Esteem. I don't think it'll work for a Metro with the offset in the e-brake slot.

I made a list of other center consoles that "should" work a while ago. This list is based on the center e-brake slot:
'99 -'02 Mazda Protege

'92-'95 Honda Civic

'96-'00 Honda Civic

'94-'01 Acura Integra

I'm sure there's more. Just gotta do some homework.

Reviving this one to see if anyone verified the fitment of the Honda Civic consoles in a Metro.

I was at my local junkyard today and gave the the '92-'95 Civic console a try on the only Metro there...a '97 automatic sedan. The armrest will fit nicely in a '95+ Metro, however, the cup holder section will not fit in a '95+ automatic. I don't think it will fit in a '95+ manual either. The cup holder was hitting the automatic shifter base and even if it didn't, it won't be able to slide forward much due to the airbag module. I think it could stand a chance to fit in the '92-'94 Metros though and most likely the '89-'91 models without much of an issue. I even removed the cup holders in the '97 with no luck.

Armrest section looks nice though if that's all you really want.
