Hey guys, I have some passenger door problems. First, my interior handle finally gave in. Can anyone link me a good passenegr handle for the 93 metro? A link with the guide would be very nice too!
Also, I have a bad regulator, and need it replaced. Can someone link me the window regulator and the guide as well? I have been looking for both and can't seem to find either that's right.
And finally, my door seems to have a latching problem. I'm not sure if this is an easy fix, or if the door needs to be replaced. (If this means anything, I hear the first click but not the second)
Thanks guys!

Readjust your striker plate. The thing on the door jam that the door locks into. Use a large phillips screwdriver and lossen the two bolts then move it up, down, in, or out and see if that helps.

On a side note, I purchased an older metro that didn't have the "new car door closing sound". I pulled the rubber molding off the door frame and washed it with Dawn dish detergent. I adjusted the stricker plate and voile', it sounded like new when closed. I highly recommend cleaning the rubber seals. It helps a lot.

Thanks guys for the links! My repair shall be underway. But first, where can I get cheap window regulators? I have a Metro yard I can always go to, but new would be nice. Any products that won't break my budget?

All depends on the budget. :hmm

http://www.partstrain.com/store/?N=0&Nr=AND%28universal%3A0%29&PN=0+9331&VN=4294967142+4294963171+4294965332+4294967132+4294965707&domain=partstrain.com&Nr=AND%28universal:0%29

And how bad that you want a new one. :news Rock Auto is a couple bucks less. :deal

You know, now I'm not sure. :hmm It's the same ACDELCO Part # 91176912 as Rock Auto for $127.79. :news

Neither Rock Auto or Parts Train specifies. :hmm

IIRC(If I recall correctly) Metroschultz found these to be the parts for the four door.

Can you snap a few close up pics of your old regulator? I've been able to rehab a couple and they work nicely. Pics of the rails and the plastic bushings and the gear teeth, please.

Also pull the rubber out of the window channels and clean it. I've found that there is so much crud inside of the nooks and crannies of the rubbers that the window binds up within the channels because of the crud.

Well guys, I'm leaving in a few days for Europe so I won't be able to really do much until then. But thanks for all the great information. And I believe Metroschultz used the Swift regulators. But was he repairing 4 door?
Anyways, I'm sure you'll all still be here for me when I get back in August! :)

Hey guys! I am back from my trip! It's late here, but tomorrow I shall be working on the Metro again. I found a regulator at my local Metro yard for 30 smacks. I will most likely pick it up Thursday, but tomorrow I will take the old one out and make sure it needs to be replaced. Wish me luck!

You can get new window regulators to fit the hatcbacks for ~$102 here: http://suzukicarparts.com/parts/1993/SUZUKI/SWIFT/GA/?siteid=214820&vehicleid=1271922&section=BODY%20HARDWARE&group=FRONT%20DOOR&subgroup=GLASS%20%26%20HARDWARE&component=&searchText=&startRow=51&maxRow=10

While I haven't yet ordered any Metro parts from them I have used them for parts on a Tracker I used to have and got good service.

Good Luck!
