Not sure if this has been addressed before so.... Im looking to replace my spare tire... I have another (5th) 13" rim that is slightly bent on the outer lip (i could probably bend out) along with the factory spare but the tire on the spare is dry rotted and dont really trust it.... The bent rim will still hold but does not fit nicely into the rear hatch compartment... Has anyone bought a replacement tire for their factory spare rim? Or does a 155/80 fit on the factory spare? Or which normal size does? The spare is kinda odd so im guessing ill be hard pressed to find the oem size if i want to keep it original. I could find a non bent rim at the jy, but would like to know my options for using the spare rim first.

I would check the wrecking yards first, any Metro or Swift 95+ should have the right spacesaver spare. |

Only problem with jy spare is that itll be just as old as mine and most likely rotted as well.... The spare rim looks slightly larger than the 13" steelie |

My spare looks like new so maybe someone from up north can send you one. The high temp today was 72 and it rained again today. |

You should send the rain my way.....ive lost count as to how many grass fires ive seen this past week. I hear UV is the culprit for sidewall wear....turning the tire from black to brown.... Do those oil based "tire shine" products really help protect against uv deterioration? |

I don't know I have never used them. Of course it rains for 9 months of the year in the NW.

We did have a good snow storm in March this year, it even snowed a foot at the coast. Also in March, I work for the local power company so a little overtime can be a good thing-230 hours this year so far. |

You could potentially special order one. Doubt any place would carry it normally. I don't know about some tire products, but armor all will kill a tire. |

let me see if i can find my spare - i pulled it out a long time ago, so its buried somewhere. my car came with 12's originally. off the top of my head, the spare rim's diameter is 14" (dont know width). i did find a place a while back that sold replacement spare tires, but they were well over $100 for one - theres just no market for them, so they are hugely expensive. thanks; |

Maybe you could get the markings off of your spare tire then go to the junkyard and see if you can find a late model total wreck and check the markings on its spare.------Suzuki still makes and sells cars and I am sure that they only use a limited number of different spare sizes............??? |

the factory donut spare on a 1989-1994 is 105/80/13, the 1995+ used a 105/80/14 donut. Hope that helps. My spare in my car s i swapped out for full size spares. |
