I'll wear out these tires then look at wheels and taller tires at the same time. I'm thinking....widen the track with wheels a smidge and a larger final rubber circumfrence like 175 or 185. I think they make a 195 which may require lifting it up. It may retard the ground effects as far as mpg goes, but the larger corcumferenced skinny tire will probably more than make up the difference. I'm not driving Formula 1 here. Way less than 100mph in fact. Just thinking out loud. Rims size stay at 13, or maybe 14 because tires for 13's are so much less expensive:) I don't mind the rubber look and sure don't like denting rims;) Don't like rubbing fenders either so can't go too tall with the tire. Widening the track with rims/wheels could make it corner better if raised and not wear out the bearings like spacers may. Highway mileage may not be affected but speed bumps and ditches would not be a bother. I live in the country and drive highway and interstate. Some driveways are dirt obstacle courses. Looking for your thoughts

185/60-14 is a wonderful size for a Metro/Swift. Same diameter so it won't throw off your odometer/speedometer. |
