Hey everyone im Garrett from Seattle Wa. Just picked up a 1997 Metro with 130500 miles on it but it needs some work. The check engine light is on for the egr valve, and the alignment is :shit and it kind of glugs and has erratic idle. I know motorcycles...but i don't know cars, so i figured id get this thing to become familiar with cars and get my girl friend a present all in one haha. so wish me luck!

Hi everyone. I'm checking in from metro Atlanta. I just purchased a 97 Metro 1.3 w/auto. It runs.... poorly and has 187000 miles. I figured for $500.00 and the upside for a great little in town banger I would "roll-the-dice". Since I have been lurking on this forum I know the first thing is a compression test. So I rented a compression test gauge from O'reilly's and tried the test. Since I got no reading for all 4 cylinders I must have done something wrong. Will try again today after looking at the compression test thread again. Looking forward to tapping this great forum to help me whip this puppy into shape.
