You want to make the ultimate sleeper, then go RWD. shoehorn in a buik V-6, auto trans and narrowed rear end. You will have to fab tubular subrames for the front and back and then run subframe connectors to keep the unibody from twisting, but it can be done. This is possible. Get the rear end of your choice and fab it in. (My choice would be the rear end of jennifer lopez) Pull the motor and adapt it to the tranny of your choice. Build you new mounts and you new firewall. Have a driveshaft made. Rearrange you linkage and lines.

It's a cool idea, one I had thougt about for a while, but a g13 engine is not gonna make a sleeper. Rwd loses more power throuh the drivetraind than fwd and the g13 doesn't make a ton of power in the regular geo.

How about adding a second engine/tranny combo in the rear of the car? Normally keep it in neutral unless you want power, then put it into gear and floor it with your TWO gas pedals!

Would be easier to just drop the Metro body onto a short wheelbase RWD platform.

Anyone wanna chime in on the wheelbase difference VS a Sidekick/Tracker?
