Got boost?

I'm swapping the bumpers from a 90 firefly turbo to my 94 metro. I've realized that the reinforcements from my metro aren't going to work with the firefly bumpers. Here's my questions: 1) The rear lower covers seem to be the same between the turbo(gt) and regular mk2 so I'm guessing the bumper supports are the same. Is this correct? 2) The front bumpers on mk2s are different between gt and regular metro because of the fog lights. Does that mean the bumper supports are different, or will any 80-91 bumper reinforcement work? Thanks guys |

You will need the bumper metal. The actual bumper. not the cover, but the metal bumper. The part the covers mount on. : So yes, grab the support from the front. Not sure if the rear is different, but it may be safe to grab it also. |

i dont have the firefly anymore. I only grabbed the covers and foam before it got scrapped, not knowing i'd need the actual bumper. So I need to know if the turbo/gt 89-91 plastic bumper covers will bolt on to the 89-91 stock metro bumpers (since they're easier to find). |

I think the difference with the front steel is how the the top half attaches. If you want to use a Swift top half you will need a Swift steel. I used a Swift bottom half and used a Metro steel. I have a Mk3 Metro rear and there is no styrofoam piece, I don't know if they use one. The Mk2 and Mk3 Swift rear bumpers both have styrofoam and use the same steels as Metros. |

The turbo firefly top front cover is the same as the metro ones so I should be able to use the metro steel for both front and rear. Thanks me and my metro |

So to bring up an old thread, I can just swap a 94 metro rear bumper onto my 91? |
