I have had my metro for about 2 mounths and it has always idled down a little far at stops but not to bad until lately. about a week ago the battery crapped out and I went and got a new one but the car sat for about three days before I got the new battery in. I really doubt that had anything to do with my current problem but figured I would tell you all. any way now when I come to a stop the idle drops out almost to the point of dying and it takes a little more gas to start out after the stop this happens most of the time but a few days this week it ran fine the next day it ran like crap again so I am at a loss thanks for your help |

Like everybody else will say, The first thing you want to do is a compression test, get back with the compression numbers then you can start narrowing it down from there. It only takes about 20 minutes to do a compression test. |
