Is there oil in the radiator also? Does it smoke out the tailpipe? Is there any water in the oil, butterscotch color oil? We need more info.

Frame Fixer

If also in rad, its head gasket time....do once not twice, while have head off, replace all valves, deck and clean .a
a machine shop can do both for you...

:gp Most likely a bad head gasket. The cheap and easy would be to replace the gasket and give the oil and coolant a very good flushing. The better method would be to take it to a machine shop to be sure the block/head isn't damaged or warped.

I would flush out the coolant resevoir and the cooling system and refill and drive it keeping a look on it to see if it contaminates again. Is this a manual or automatic transmission? With those compression numbers I would be slow to tear it down and vigilant in making sure it needed it and is indeed leaking oil into the coolant. While I do agree adding oil every couple of days is abnormal and you very well may have a gasket issue since you see no leaks. Adding that much oil, it would be smoking like a freight train if it were going out the exhaust pipe. How much oil are you adding to it?

milage of the motor is un known there wasent a speedo in the car i pulled the motor out of and i cleaned the resivior and it got oil in it again and there tiny lil bit of oil on the radiator cap but coolent looks green and its a auto. i was told it smokes a lil bit but i cant see it in my mirriors.. and its like a quart evry 2 weeks or so. im gussing. i am betting on head gasket it did get over heated a couple times befor i disisembeled the radiator and power washed it to clean it out best i can hope for is its just the head gasket but hopeing its not worped or cracked on the head or block i still have the old motor with a bad valve

Well, it is probably a head gasket...but...
that's what mech. & I thought with coolant water in oil - (link below)
2 head gaskets later, (oh, no signs of seepage between block and head either time) do a rebuild with a flux? that did not catch cracked head,
again, pull now re-man head, and do water pressure test that finds crack,...like chasing ghosts.
buy used head, re-machine... now in for 3 days and 200 miles...we shall see.
So, it is probably a gasket - but how do you easily check for cracked head? Hmm, carefully take the head off and see if the gasket has leaks/channels/burns/passages -
So, if lucky & signs of leakage, & flat deck/block, and since you're in there, valve sleeves/seals, and CAM sensor? at least?

ALL Metros had a cam sensor. I see no reason to replace it though.
