Why you Mutt!

If you're running the AC and going about 75, 27 mpg probably isn't too bad. My 3 cylinder automatic ran about 31-33 mpg under those conditions. You could get a bit more mileage by turning off the AC, but in mid-summer, it might be worth a couple mpg to be alert and comfortable.

About the only things I can add to what everyone has said, and you're probably doing this already, is take your cellphone and auto club card.

If your car is an automatic (I suspect it is based upon the mileage you're getting) then you should really keep it to 65 mph. An automatic will get 35 to 40 mpg, a manual 40 - 45, and a manual 3 cylinder 43 - 48.

I'd replace all three belts now, and don't carry crap. They'll last five years or 100K miles with no worries whatsoever.
You're right, it is an automatic and gets the best gas milage at 65 mpg-70 mpg. I get 35 when I'm keeping it there. Makes me wish I had a manual 3 cyl which I will be looking for. And I am going to have my husband replace the 3 belts and not carry crap. Thank you for your advice.

I love my AC/Turbo button, lol. We were up in the mountains with my husband's smart phone and my 'recent return to a basic from a smart phone'.....and guess who got coverage? :) ME!!! Thank you for taking the time to comment and add your advice. :)
