i rebuilt my head about 30k miles back and got a hole in an exhaust valve again. Have heard that i need to replace the rings when i replace the valves. I am curios how hard this is to do and if i can do it without removing the block? Would welcome any advice. thanks mrt2 |

Welcome to GMF Pull the head, pull the pan, pull the rods and pistons, hone it and put er back together. As long as the cylinders measure out still round and aren't all gouged up you're golden. Edited by clarkdw, Jul 26 2012, 08:58 PM.
