air filter lost 10mm socket

I was trying to remove the bolt that holds the air filter canister to the car and the 10mm socket fell off and the car appartently ate it. has this happend to anyone else on the 98 metro if so where the hell did it go id like it back lol

it didnt go into the intake did it? or did it just fall down the intake gaps and into the engine bay? if it did that then its probably sitting on your coolant tube between the block, one of them flex magnets with the lights on them will help a ton.

Scoobs is right. Most likely sitting between coolant tube and block.

I think what rmcelwee is trying to say is - Make sure you find that socket before you decide to just fire the car up and drive away...
