Since the codes have been there since you bought the 'Vert I think the first thing I would do would be to pull the steering column/wheel apart and make sure there is ACTUALLY an air bag in place and all the wiring etc is connected |

There is just one O2 sensor on the manifold (this is the setup on my 92 Vert). If you have one after the cat I suspect you have an exhaust from a later model installed on your car. I bet if you look you'll find the one right after the cat isn't plugged in to anything. Edited by idmetro, Aug 1 2012, 02:35 PM.

Yeah, second O2 shouldn't appear until 1996. The best fix for your airbag light is to pull the bulb out and be sure to wear your seatbelt. At the time of an accident the last thing you want added to your problems is explosives in your face. |

if you need air bag parts for your vert, i have a nice vert steering wheel with air bag, the clockspring, and the front impact sensor. the steering wheel with air bag has to ship via fedex as it is considered a class 3 explosive. there's only the one single wire o2 sensor on the exhaust manifold. i also have a few good iat sensors kicking around in the garage. pm me. |

ok i think i am starting to see that whoever had this car took the motor and transmission out and just put 96' or newer engine and transmission in it, the second o2 sensor is just there to plug the hole up its not wired into anything geez what a mess i have alot to do to get this car back up to right. |

Mind=Blown. I have no idea what happened but now my CEL just went off on its own the only thing i did was crawl under the car to see if the second O2 sensor was hooked up and push on the connector for the IAT sensor and suddenly no CEL not really complaining but wtf? |

It's possible that the CEL was going to go off that start cycle anyway, nothing to do with what you did that second. It goes on after seeing a problem twice and goes back off after seeing four complete warm up cycles without the problem. (varies for different errors, but that's a common example) |

its just curious that after having it for 3 months almost 4 and putting over 5000 miles on it that it decides oh no more problem like i said no complaints here. |
