I am planning the paint job for my electric conversion metro. Right now, it is green. This will not work for me because green represents environmentalists and green collar government jobs. I am building this metro so that i won't have to pay at the pump and to be able to drive in the event of a situation where we may not have access to gasoline. Anyway, because of my love for my country and my military background, I would like to use the national colors somehow in my paint job. As mucb as I love the national colors, I feel challenged on finding a nice scheme using all three colors. Any ideas? |

Why not white with red and blue pinstriping? Ford used a similar paint scheme for their early '70s bicentennial editions of the Mustang and Pinto.![]() There was one of these running around Glendora, CA back when I was a kid. EDIT: This is the Pinto version: ![]() Whatever you do, go stealth. Don't put "EV" or "Electric" or some such on the car. No sense advertising that you're not paying road taxes...

White top, Red body, instead of flames coming from the front use electric Blue lightening bolts. |

Go subtle. Unless.... right in the middle of the hood. Of course, this image is copyrighted... |
