Pure, unadulterated fantasies  :D

After-market tracks are a popular conversion for ATVs/UTVs. They're also MUCH cheaper than "full-size vehicle" tracks like Mattracks: www.mattracks.com
Like $3-5K vs $30K :lol
The question comes down to adapting hardware and vehicle weight considerations. While ATV/UTV tracks are built for ATVs/UTVs, a Geo isn't much heavier (~1700-1800lbs).
A good UTV track kit seems like it would work, and you can bet wherever you go no Metro has gone before :nfs
Of course, it comes down to money and time, and the cash side of things demands far more attention than this little dream at the moment :D
However, if you're looking to one up Mullet on the EcoMudder this might be one way to do so. Or if Mullet wants to do a EcoMudder II :hmm

Well, it would have to be 4x4 to utilize the 4 wheel tracks :D lol, otherwise the rears are just going to be dragging ass.

These tracks literally "float" on top of the snow and mud because of the giant footprint. Here's an ATV with rear-wheel drive engaged (front tracks along for the ride):

Of course, not nearly as efficient as 4wd but it still "works".

Other option is put skis on the back, but that makes the brakes only 2wd....

Front wheel tracks, back wheel skis? Not sure I'd feel comfortable going down a steep hill like that... :ermm: At least with 4 tracks I can brake on all fours.
