The 1995 engine doesn't have a crank sensor in the front of the oil pan like the engine I removed from the 1997 car. Can I swap oil pans so in order to use the sensor? Also some vacumm lines different on and around the intake manifold, this looks like a simple fix. Hopefully I'm not kidding myself. |

Anything is possible... got a 94 Swift GT engine in my 95 Geo, just takes planning to properly execute it |

Use the long block out of the 95, change the oil pump and oil pan, use the intake and all the sensors from the 97. Probably the distibutor also. |

Sorry I should have worded it differently. I'm going to install the 95 engine in the 97 car,and the 95 engine didn't have the crank sesnsor. Is it possible to swap oil pans in order to plug in the crank sensor that my 97 has in it? |

Yes it is possible but you also need to swap the oil pump as it also has a hole for the crank sensor. |

Thanks alot, thats exactly what I'm going to do. After looking it over that looks like a fairly easy fix. |
