Quick question, Are these available anywhere new? I'd like to purchase a new one, but would get a JY pull if available. Has anyone attempted repairs on these? Any pointers? Thanks, John Edited by jaevans, Aug 11 2012, 09:42 PM.

Thanks for the pointer, bansheetaz, but no Mountain Dew for this one. My engine is a 94 with upgraded emissions and has an ISC versus the IAC in the thread. I may still take mine apart to see what the workings are like as perhaps it can be mended. If so, I'll document that action for the forum. John |

So, no one has found a suitable source for these other than the pick-n-pull sites? |

Looks like an alternate part number exists - Suzuki p/n 13430-50G00 - pricey if available. |

UPDATE - I located a pull and received it today, popped it in to see if it made a difference. It did NOT. I still have the symptoms. Back to the drawing board, but I need to focus on vacuum leaks and maybe a poor gasket seal on the intake manifold perhaps? I may still take the old ISC apart to see what makes it tick and to see if it is serviceable or not. John |

with your trusty crossover suzuki part number in hand, go to the midwest suzuki web site, hit the "contact" button, and tell mr. k sexton what it is that you're after. he'll email you with availability and price on the part. ![]() he just sent me a brand new suzuki parts group throttle cable for a gt - $28 + postage. the suzuki parts stock is still pretty deep, especially for 95 and up models. suzuki swift parts are generally a direct fitment for their geo metro counterparts. as far as i can tell, the isc for the later production 94 year is the same as the part used on the 95 model year. |

They should work all the way up to when production was ceased. I have an ISC from a '97 on my '95, which is basically the same as the '94 with upgraded emissions. |

I've just been through one of these motors and was able to fix mine. To open it I used tooth picks to hold the plastic locking tabs up. My plunger was jammed in the fully extended position and so I had to screw the plunger in by hand. There is a switch, maybe hall effect, that is where the plunger gear rides in the housing. This shows the computer that the thing is working or active I suppose, and accounts for the 1/8 inch spring you feel if you push on the plunger. While it was open I cleaned and silicone greased everything and tested the motor with a "D" cell. Reverse the leads and the motor should reverse. My understanding of the system is that it isn't activated by the computer unless the idle drops below 950. High idle problems would preclude this. Someone had set my idle way up with the forbidden throttle stop adjuster. To get it to work again I had to get the idle down by setting the throttle stop at a bare minimum, just enough to keep the buterfly from sticking in the bore........ Idle dropped below 950 and the ISC motor kicked in. Chuck |

I tried the same thing as well. Mine adjusted all the way out. It was a short lived fix for me because it did it again within a few engine cycles. |
