Anyone have other manufacturer's factory wheels installed on their Metros? Let's see pics. No aftermarket one here, please. That will be another topic. I briefly looked at what other cars use our bolt-pattern, and I think Honda Accords do. Just kind curious what they would look like. That and they may be cheaper than aftermarkets.

Wow. That's a pretty good number of choices. Hoping to see some pictured on Geos to get a better idea. I know we can't go too big in rim diameter without rubbing issues.

you limited me to just a few by requiring pics--try this for over 60 rims that fit (but no pics)..... http://geometroforum.com/topic/701184/1/

The '03 Mitsubishi Lancer Rally Art came with 15" OZ Racing rims. They don't look very good to me on the Lancer due to the chunky 60 series tires on them. On the Metro with 195-45-15's they look a whole lot better!

I just mounted up a set of Nexen 3000 tires and so far no clearance issues on the '93 vert. Nice quiet tire too.

I've been looking into new rims, and came across this article:
http://www.caranddriver.com/features/effects-of-upsized-wheels-and-tires-tested
The summary is that the tallest rims with low profile tires are the heaviest, slower and less MPG...

All information is good. This information is especially good for the members who are specifically looking for MPG at all costs of everything else. I'm sure some will avail themselfs of this info.

Personally I bought my Geo 'Vert for FUN !!! If I think it looks good, all the better.
The MPG will still be great---so it started out with 50+MPG. and now---driving fast and stylin' with neat rims and big tires it only gets 45+MPG--for my purposes thats better than great :dunno :rocker :spaz :nfs :nfs :nfs

While I agree with the potential negative affects of plus sized wheels, I still find the positives to far out weight them for my driving style. My vert is all about fun and let me tell you the stock 13's weren't too fun in the curves. The mileage difference is negligible, at least now I can zing around a corner without slowing down and then having to accelerate back up to speed.

Also, the added grip during braking has helped a avoid a few deer hits!

for my normal operation i prefer a 14" x 4.5" rim with 185/60 14 tires. that setup gives me a good ride, no fitment issues, great appearance, and reasonable fuel economy from all the engine types.
