Intake Leak??

Hi All.. I have 300+ miles on my new motor now. I put a new oxygen sensor on and rebuilt the IAC this morning.. My problen has been when switching from load(on the gas) to off the gas at certain rpm. I did the big 3 (grounds) plus block to frame. Tomorrow morning I'll put the new fuel filter on and search for my vaccum guage. If I wasn't clear on the problem.. accelerating to 50mph, maintaining that speed(flat road) a definite drop. there is a little play in the 5speed n cv axles.. but not to account for this. A slight miss makes me think intake leak. I haven't picked up a throttle body gasket kit yet. Any imput appreciated.. I'll update after the vaccum guage test.. Thanks. Paul

FOG

an intake leak on a speed density system
like Geo Metros have
has very little to zero effect on anything at cruise.

so
re check base IGN timing and confirm that at high rpm you have IGN timing advance
like 25 to 35 degrees
no load
3k rpm
