New Metro Owner, what should I be thinking about?

Just bought a 1993 Geo Metro LSi 5 speed convertible and absolutely love it. Right off the bat, I had to have the clutch replaced. This car has 106,000 miles on it. It runs and drives fine, but what should I be thinking about in terms of routine maintenance?

I would love to make this car last as long as possible. Anyone have any tips?

Thanks! :cheers

'Verts change to some Polysomething Green color when you use the
blinker fluid too long without changeing it.

Yeah, I need some blinker fluid too. They're starting to get slower and slower as they blink, damn over-engineered cars :P

I would get my blinker fluid from kalecoauto.com

"Are you blinkers sluggish? Do they make an annoying ticking noise? Do they not flash fast enough? Here's your solution. Little do people know, factory quality blinker fluid should be changed every 150,000 blinks. Our blinker fluid lasts ten times that. KaleCoAuto high quality synthetic blinker fluid meets the highest DOT standards while not being in the least bit DOT legal! KaleCoAuto blinker fluid provides you with thousands of hours of reliable blinking without the wear and tear on the flash-synchro's that the other blinker fluids cause. KaleCoAuto blinker fluid will not lose its viscosity even in the most extreme situations. Why buy that old dino-blinker fluid, when you can get our unique patented synthetic formula? Satisfaction guaranteed!! For use in any car." - Kalecoauto.com

But, yeah, a lot of us use Mobil 1 engine oil and Synchromesh in the transmission. NGK plugs, 50/50 coolant and change the filters. It would be a good idea to clean the battery and engine grounds. I use a Dremel tool clone with a small wire brush. Replace the vacuum hoses, plug wires, distributor cap and rotor. The usual stuff.

Some members prefer Chevron Techron as a gasoline additive. I use Seafoam on Johnny Mullet's suggestion; Seafoam Maintenance. Certainly you can use Seafoam before every oil change. The oil will go from dirty to pitch black in 300-500 or less miles. :)

And now for more suggestions....

To at least save a small reference to the thread, CharlestonMetro, we need pics, lots of pics. Without Metro pics we are lost.
