Hi again everybody!Just wanted some advise.I have a 92 geo metro auto with the 1.0.I went to Las Vegas And back from Salt Lake city and my car ran good for the first few hundred miles.I was driving 60-65 mph. Then my car started cutting out and the more gas i gave it the worse it got.I pulled over at the closest gas station, put some fuel cleaner and high grade gas thinking it might help. When i got back on the freeway i thought i fixed it but it did it all the way to Vegas and back(I spent a total of $73 round trip by the way).It would run normal for awhile then act up again but when i shut it off and restart it it stops??????I didnt even stop on the way back(except for gas and lunch) i would throw it in nuetral and restart it and back to normal for a while. What could this be?Fuel filter is pretty new.Could this be the fuel pump?Sensor? Why does it run normal when i restart it?HELP PLEASE!

OK, an automatic at say 40.5 mpg over 850 miles is 21 gallons at $3.60/gallon is $73 That's very good. If it isn't a transmission issue it might be a clogged injector. http://geometroforum.com/topic/2184553/1/ http://geometroforum.com/topic/3880200/1/?x=40 http://geometroforum.com/single/?p=553891&t=4528216 Catalytic converter test: http://geometroforum.com/single/?p=558947&t=4464045 Run/No Run Mystery - oil pressure relief valve But I wonder if it isn't the gas cap or the gas tank as in you should hear pressure releasing when you unscrew the cap. If not you may be looking at a clogged line.
