The little metal tang on the bottom of my window bracket broke off so I thought I would just tint a different window with walmart select tint and call it good. There is no uv protection info on the package or on the website listed at the bottom of the tint packaging, www.autoexpressions.com.. I don't really want to instal it if it will not offer substantial protection against the sun. The box claims it helps keep the interior cooler, does anyone know if this will protect against uv rays? |

I have tried to tint my windows, and have had a friend of mine that graduated from WYO tech try to tint my windows....whats the trick. The back wing windows are bubbled so much it just bubbles the tint and it looks like shit.. |

windows MUST be super clean. use something like a plastic credit card to push out the bubbles as you apply. also--keep your friend away during application. Its too complicated for a WYO tech grad

I've tinted many cars over the years. The first time I tried it was hell. I learned a lot after that, it does gets easier. Those rear side windows are a compound curve so you'll need to heat shrink the film on the outside first before you peel and install it. Just look on YouTube for heat shrink tint to learn how. Don't expect to get it perfect the first time. |

Not sure if that tint has uv protection. Window tint is one of the things that I don't like doing. Years ago, I found a pro that "does it right", and I have spent the extra few dollars to have perfection everytime. It doesn't really cost that much more to have a pro do the tinting. |

I tinted the windows on nightmare myself, there is actually a trick to doing the rear windows aswell as the fronts. You need a heat gun to warm the tint, not melt it but, warm is so it will be more Plyable and able to take being curved without creasing, it will give it a little more *stretch* ![]()

Scoobs, that is the same trick my installer was showing me when he was doing mine. I smiled and handed him a fifty. The only thing I do to help with the tint is bring him just the glass without the car. His skills + my skills equal sweet and perfection. |
