So i broke a bolt off trying to change my brake pads and now im trying to take my whole wheel assembly off so im not working under my car. But we have never taken one off before so i need step by step direction for help! PICTURES ARE GREATLY APPRECIATED. |

sorry don t do pics....but..three. bolts will get you off car.. lower ball joint-remove bolt push down on a arm, release bottom.... then the two strutt bolts ..and remove hub + brake assembly |

It can be removed but I would put some good jack stands under the car and secure it well and work on removing the broken bolt with it on the car. What bolt did you break? |

3 Bolts and 1 nut. The outter shaft nut. |

Oh forgot axle nut...center of wheel. If can't break loose.remove with hub.. but trans will loose oil when you pull out of the trans |

Her is a Brake upgrade on a MKII hatchback link with pics. You can remove the half shaft (axle) without loosing transmission oil if you jack the car up on one side. I placed my jack about 4" behind the wheel with 2x4 wood on it to get a lot of height. I'm thinking 35-40 degrees? |
