I originally posted about this car on July 19th. Since then, we have found out the car has been flooding. We get the gas out of the engine and the plugs dry, then as soon as I start driving it again it gets flooded. I do not give it gas when starting the car, so I know I am not flooding it. It is getting good ignition and spark, but too much fuel while driving. I have had 2 different mechanics look at it and they can't figure out what is wrong. We are wasting money on parts we don't need, and are totally frustrated! Any suggestions? |

Have a mechanic (or yourself) perform a compression test on the cylinders. Here is your original topic where you never got back with us.......... http://geometroforum.com/topic/4869086/1/ I almost bet it has a burnt valve and bad rings. |

pull the injector out and check the O-ring to make sure its not damaged. Mine use to flood when ever I stopped it. It would start in the morning fine and then flood everytime I shut it off. It was a damaged O-ring. You should also check to see if fuel drips from the injector when you shut it off. |

there are two fuel lines-one going from the pump to the throttle body and a RETURN line going back to the tank. check your fuel return line and make sure it is not stopped up or kinked. |
