Please help!!! when driving my Geo metro HB 96, it turns off. It takes like 10 minutes or sometimes more to start. In the mornings sometimes it starts and sometimes not. When driving suddently it turns off and wont start again. It takes like 10 minutes to start again.
Everything was checked, but it appears that is not giving spark, a simple test was made, we unplugged the distributor cables and put them close to a metal part and when hitting the starter it does not gives spark.
Can someone help me?

If there is no spark at all....then it would never run.
Is the cable (from the center of the distributor cap to the coil) loose or damaged?

Edit: (I'm inferring that you have the 'crank-no-start' syndrome)

Fuel injectors on these cars can cause this symptom. Lots of times people think they have a spark issue when they really dont. Next time it will not start pour a small amount of gas in the throttle body and see if it will try to start on it. If it does, test your fuel pressure and make sure your fuel pump is good and if so look at the fuel injector. Check all your battery cables and ground connections on the rear of the throttle body and make sure they are tight.

This was going to be my guess.

Loose or corroded battery or starter connections. Even if they look good, remove and clean them up.
