First, hop on one foot, and then shout "Crap!", and then wait for someone else to chime in on a 4 cyl valve ajustment, Since i have no idea myself how to do valves on a 4 cylinder. Sorry i couldnt help much on that point, But it sounds to me like your valves are staying open.

Scroobs, I looked at the valves and adjusters and it looks like one of the valves is stuck open and there is a gap between the top of the valve and the valve adjuster. I have attached some pictures. http://db.tt/zun8Dkyd, http://db.tt/rnV15LLN, http://db.tt/2uBG2R5Z |

Hydralic valve adjusters. No adjustment. Spray a little pb blaster on the valve stem and tap on the one that looks stuck open and see if it will spring back up. Who rebuilt the head? |

Blue Rhino, No outside rebuild of the head. I cleaned it up and replaced all the valves, lash adjusters and valve stems. |

Starscream5000, appreciate the insight. Appears that two of my Intake Valves are not the correct length . I am working on getting them replaced and hoping that will resolve my no-start/low compression issue.

Hi forum members. I need your assistance. My Blue Beast starts now but I have other issues with it. Although it starts, it won't restart if you shut it off after it has been running and is warm. I don't find any oil or coolant leaks; however, the I am not sure the coolant is circulating because the upper radiator hose remains cool to the touch even after it has been running for 15-20 minutes. The radiator fan will come on but the coolant doesn't appear to be flowing. Also, if I try to give it gas while it is idling the engine will shut off. I need the benefit or your knowledge so that I can get my Beast running properly for my commute to my new job. I can provide pictures and/or audio of it running, if needed. Thanks in advance for all your help. |

The first issue sounds like a bad thermostat. Take it out and put it in a pan of boiling water and see if it opens or not. The second part could be a few different things. Map sensor unplugged or no vacuum hose going to it, TPS out of adjustment, or some other sensor unplugged... |

Starscream5000, I don't know how to read the schematics in the FSM. Where is the TPS located on my G13? |

It should be under the TBI hat, left hand side of the motor as you're looking down at it. Its on the throttlebody assembly. |
