Nice to be getting the glass back in. Here is the bead of urethane that will hold it in. I just noticed that my '96 3/5 finally made it in to GMF... it's just a background shot, but now it's official.![]() and here it is installed ![]() It's starting to look like a car again... This is where I left off for the night.

My girlfriend loves the work you all do on cars. She really likes this car and RHD's car. We just bought a USFS green truck that she wants painted immediately and threw in the conversation to paint OBi!! Went from lawn ornament to painting! Very nice work! I'm only 4 hours north of you, someday I may acquire your services or show me how and paint OBi! |

Mythstae, it's your day... The 7x has been discontinued, and the only thing that they had for 14" x 5.5" was your first wheel choice.![]() ![]() The shop right next to me in my strip has a wheel balance freak who owns all his own tire and wheel mounting and balancing equipment. The guy who owns that shop does not speak English, but the last time I got my tires mounted and balanced at Americas tire, he looked at the wheel weights and gave me that very disapproving "no" type of head shake. Anyway, I brought him the wheels and tires and let him balance them for me this time. He brought them back to me and made me very aware that these wheels came from China, and that this is as good as it gets for a wheel balance for these Chinese wheels. ![]() Here they are all ready to mount.

It seems like every Metro that I revive needs a new headliner. Here we go again... Luckily, the last time I did a Metro headliner, I bought an suv sized kit. I cut it in half and did the first one, and now I have the other half ready to go into this one. I still had to buy some spray glue... one can is never enough, and I have one can of the "super" 3m adhesive spray left over from another Metro headliner that somebody else needed, and I bought a can of "general" 3m spray adhesive since that's what was in stock at my local pep boys. I think I will try spraying one can onto the headliner board, and the other flavor onto the fabric.

I will probably mount them to the car tomorrow, but I think I may swing by Napa first and pick up some rotors and pads to get things up to date first. Maybe even a fresh set of wheel bearings to kick off this Metro's new life. I still need to install the wheel liners and such, so maybe I will put her on the lift tomorrow for the works. |

I googled balancing beads, and now I know a lot about them. No, I have never used balancing beads... it looks like there is some dispute as to how effective they might be. I just use traditional lead weights. |

I did not get to the wheels and suspension today, but I got the hatch on and put together and took it out for a cruise. Fun. Hopefully I get to the wheels and suspension tomorrow.

Got the driver side suspension and brakes set up. Passenger still has the motocross stance on the bicycle tires. Good project for tomorrow. ![]() Here are the coils that I chopped... you can see that the front lost less than 1 round, and the back lost 2. You may also notice that the rear coil stock is quite a bit thicker, which is because when I bought this rig it had 1650 pounds of flooded lead acid batteries. My new lithium pack weighs around 350 pounds. It had ford ranger springs in it so that it could haul that heavy load. I will still run these ford ranger springs for now since it is a little heavier than stock in the back. Not much heavier, so I will need to drive it around a bit to see how I like it. ![]() |

Yes. Thanks Mythstae. At cruising speed, I've read that they make it like silk. I've not used them but when I do decide on nice rims I'm considering having the beads put in. I do like those rims you've chosen, they look nice from behind
