I've developed what feels like slack or extra play in my clutch when letting it out. It was suggested that my motor mounts were going bad. I don't see that much give, what do you think? 2000 Metro with 90K miles.

I believe it is way too much rocking. Hard to tell whats wrong but if all bolts are tight mounts, tranny, etc etc. I would guess that the mounts need attention. Might want to go to this thread and read it. might save you a lot of monies. the first one is from geometroforum

this second one is from the web
http://importnut.net/motormount.htm

wait for a couple more people to post to make sure and confirm my opinion

Got 70 MPG?

I would recommend going with a softer Polyurethane than window weld if you're the type of person that doesn't like a lot of engine vibration transferring through the chassis and into the inside of your car while driving.

Your clutch is operated by cable and is not affected by motor movement

Actually seems normal to me. It could be an issue with the clutch.

It is the original clutch and I'm sure it's at the tail end of it's lifespan. Every now and again I get a hop when taking off and from what I read, It could be either or. I'll try the window weld first and see if that works. (autozone wants $25.00 a tube, wish they had half size tubes.)
