Hello, Does anyone know the thread size on a 91 geo metro manual transmission clutch? I would like to get a custom clutch knob but need to know the thread size for it. Thank you! |

Are you refering to the knob on top of the transmission shift lever? The knob you grab hold of to change gears? |

You're looking for a shift knob, or shifter knob. Be careful of those stupid 'universal' kits, that come with plastic bushing inserts and set screws. From my experience, the plastic bushing type are total crap, even using red loc-tite on those tiny set screws, they loosen with time. My son put 'the green skull' shifter knob on our Samurai, which serves as a constant reminder of how good the oem parts are, compared to parts sold in the 'dress up' isle at Pep Boys The ones with the correct thread, or at least an aluminum adapter bushing, are better. |

I am glad OM figured it out. I was thinking he wanted the bolt size and thread count for the pressure plate bolts. For my little Red Rocket. I have a Rat Fink shift knob. Works great. But made in China. |

Ok thanks guys. @Old Man, duly noted, I try to search the rest of the forum and do a google search but I'll admit I didn't this time around. Thank you though for providing a link to the information I needed. |
