First, I have a 2001 Chevy Metro Automatic 4cylinder. In the junkyard near me they have a cluster with tach in about a 1997 or so Automatic Geo Tracker with a 1.6l in it, would this cluster work? |

It might, but the tach would be off even if it plugged in. |

Is there any mod I could do to make the tach accurate? |

Why do you think the Rachel would be off Johnny? They're both 4 bangers... As far as I know, no one has done this, but let us know if it fits. They do look like they'd fit right in place... |

The car: '95 Suzuki Swift 4cyl 5-speed. The donor: '97 Sidekick 4cyl automatic. The cluster fits just like the original but a couple of mods are necessary.... (1) swap the printed strip for the idiot lights. (minor trimming required) Remove any unused lamps - like the rear defogger. (2) Move the yellow-with-white-tracer wire at pin 6 of the gray plug to pin 5 - this makes the temp gauge work. Haven't verified the tach reading with test equipment but it seems about right. 55mph in 5th gear 2300rpm thereabouts. Edited by marxtoys, Sep 18 2012, 01:29 PM.

The only problem i could see is that the sidekick and mk5 metro use different ignition setups. I know the swift Gt cluster will fit an mk5 swift with a resistor removed to function with the mk5 ignition. |

His 4cyl 5 speed should have a 3.79 in it so 2300rpm at 55mph doesn't seem far off |
