Hey Blue Rhino, I went ahead and checked that ordering out for the wires. Sure enough that's how they are on there just as you described and showed with your diagrams.

She still wont start, Think I am going have to take the Fuel injector out and go from there.

Unless you can think of any other reason why she wont crank up.

Any help or advice would be great thx.

Sincerely;
FritzGeo

My Dad, was talking to his mechanic friend when I had him on the phone. He said that their is a Fuel relieve line that looks like a steam cap you can remove to release the fuel out of the line. But, I looked in my book and looked all around the Geo did not see it. I don't think there is one atleast on my model.
don't know if anyone here knows anything about it?

Any help and Advice would be great.

Thank You

The Haynes manual is WRONG about the firing order. Please recheck that your wires agree with Blue Rhino's photos.

I did check and they are in that order just like blue rhino showed.

Have no clue what this is,
I am thinking it is either the throttle body sensor or the fuel injector, one of those!

Whether your injector is bad or not, the car should try to run by pouring a small amount of gas in the tbi. No fuel relief valve on it.

I think that's called the injector resistor.
I always thought it was an igniter.
It almost sounds like the computer is telling it to run. It has fuel. It has spark. You've already checked your timing.

Check all of your grounds. Clean them up and tighten them all back down, especially the ground on the lower backside of the intake manifold

I will check that out too and make sure everything is grounded. Pretty sure it is.

Hi Blue Rhino,
I will have to try that. I mean I look over it and have my assistant try to crank it over but I am not seeing any fuel from the injector running down into the throttle valve. I just dont know if its a bad injector or the throttle sensor.

The injector on these cars is really small I can only see fuel from mine when its running, and its just a very small amount at that.

hey everyone, I was tinkering with the Car and the injector is squirting and I belive the throttle sensor is ok cause I was listening around, then I notice this small one wire with a wire prong and i messed with that and try to start it and she almost started. I have no clue what this wire /prong is it rotates and it has a yellow wire on it right below the TBI Unit.

But, I had my assistant come out and keep the ignition turning, while they were doing that I was looking over it and messing with that one wire, I will take a picture of it tomorrow morning when there is more light out. Anyway, I was looking down into the throttle valve and I saw a spark of some sorts I dont know if that normal or not, but, it was a big spark! Several sparks!

Anyone know?

I had to buy a new fuel tank, fuel pump, fuel strainer, and fuel filter. After getting everything hooked up and making sure all connection were correct I started her up, I had to turn the ignition key a few time to get her but sure enough she started up. I was thrilled I put new air in the tires and test drove it down my road only for about 4 miles then she died on me! She wouldn't start even with Starter fluid at hand she wouldn't stay running.
May I ask why you replaced the tank, pump, strainer and filter? Did it run before the changes?

I'm thinking it is either low pressure or return pressure or a kinked/clogged hose or something related.

When you did this did you clean out the supply and return lines?

Bad injector wiring. Not very un-common. I would remove the injector (use a good Phillips impact driver since these are tight and will strip) and see if the wiring is rubbing on the Throttle body.

The Reason why I had to replace the fuel tank is because the tank was leaking out fuel, and sense I was going threw the trouble of removing the tank I thought would be good idea just to replace the pump as well and do all that work sense I was down there.

There was no fuel in the line system after I dropped the tank, but, no i didit completely drain the lines of the fuel. I did add fresh new gas to the tank though.

I have tested the fuel coming out and the fuel pressure is there.

I also made sure to clean the lines before re-hooking them up.
