Okay, I'm in the process of replacing my top. The tension strap for the last bow has the plastic clip/latch is broken. Has anyone replaced one of these? What did you replace with? Where did you get replacement? Need to know thoughts soonest as it will not be accessible once top is on.

you should be able to find a heavy duty snap like what is used on boats to attach mooring covers. crimp one side into the strap and screw the other side into the bow. then you can snap the strap into it's proper position and unsnap it when you want to relieve the tension on the floating bow.

that's all i've got unless you can scare up something else that works, there's no oem replacement part. one time, in a pinch, i used a velcro strap off a server rack that was used to bundle cabling. there usually isn't all that much tension on the strap. it really only holds that floating bow in position so that it doesn't drop down under the clear vinyl window when the top goes up or down.

I am not sure if yours is the same but mine has a steel loops on both sides. In my case a cinch strap used to tie cables, extension cords etc. would be just the ticket. I use them for cords at work and they would be plenty strong. http://www.cableorganizer.com/cinch-strap/?gcsct=0ChMImL2W2o6YsgIVQ2nnCh0wWwAAEAI?gcssku=VW9-N09-1

good pic, clark. :D

yeah, the plastic tension clamp sometimes breaks on the factory straps. clark's solution was what i accomplished with the velcro strap.
