PL30001 is the one I use.

PL30001 is the truly giant one, holds close to a quart. PL20195 is the in between size that will work with A/C.

What gain does a larger filter have?

Increases total oil capacity for better cooling, more capability to absorb dirt. Also more filter area in the filter itself, so it can absorb more filth before it gets clogged up.
